About the Founder

Robert Kurlender – Managing Principal

Prior to founding Perceptive Capital, Robert Kurlender was Managing Director at Dalfen America Corp., a Canadian based private equity firm focused on acquiring and operating industrial properties throughout the United States. As one of Dalfen’s top executives, Mr. Kurlender was responsible for overseeing the firm’s acquisitions, dispositions and investment activities and helped transform the company into one of the fasting growing industrial operators in North America. Mr. Kurlender conceptualized and implemented the firm’s post recession fund strategy and successfully executed on over $350MM in real estate transactions. 

Prior to joining Dalfen America Corp., Mr. Kurlender was a principal at R Kay Consulting, where he headed a team of financing specialists in the qualifying, underwriting and financing of residential real estate mortgages.
